This Privacy Policy describes how Crossroads Technologies, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Extension Janitor ("the Extension"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Extension Data (Stored Locally)

The following data is collected and stored entirely on your device using the browser's local storage. It is never transmitted to our servers:

• List of installed browser extensions (names, IDs, permissions, enabled/disabled status)
• Extension health scores and scan history
• Orphaned extension entry estimates
• User preferences and settings

1.2 Installation Identifier

When you first use the Extension, a random unique identifier (UUID) is generated and stored locally. This identifier:

• Is used solely to associate your device with a subscription status
• Contains no personal information
• Cannot be used to identify you personally
• Is transmitted to our payment verification server only when checking subscription status or initiating a purchase

1.3 Payment Information

If you subscribe to Pro features, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account details, or other financial instrument data. Stripe may collect:

• Email address (provided by you during checkout)
• Payment method details (held securely by Stripe)
• Billing address (if required by your payment method)

We receive from Stripe only: your subscription status (active/inactive), customer ID, and the email address you provide at checkout.

1.4 Terms Acceptance Record

When you accept our Terms of Service, we store a local record of your acceptance (timestamp and version) on your device. This is not transmitted to our servers.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not do:

• We do not read, monitor, or record your browsing history or web activity
• We do not inject content into web pages
• We do not collect keyboard input, form data, or credentials
• We do not access your files, photos, or documents
• We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies
• We do not share, sell, or rent any data to third parties for marketing purposes
• We do not use your data for advertising or profiling

3. How We Use Information

The limited data we handle is used exclusively to:

• Verify your subscription status (paid/trial/free)
• Process payments through Stripe
• Authorize the native cleanup companion application
• Provide customer support if you contact us

4. Data Storage and Security

Extension scan data and preferences are stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage APIs. Subscription verification data (installation ID and subscription status) is stored on Cloudflare Workers KV, an encrypted edge storage service.

Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe under their Privacy Policy and PCI DSS compliance standards.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with the following third-party services:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare Workers — Subscription verification and API hosting. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

No other third-party services receive data from the Extension.

6. Native Cleanup Companion

The optional native cleanup companion application runs locally on your computer to remove orphaned entries from browser configuration files. It:

• Only runs when explicitly triggered by you
• Operates entirely on your local machine
• Does not transmit any data to external servers
• Requires a valid subscription token verified locally

7. Data Retention

• Local data: Retained on your device until you uninstall the Extension or clear browser data.
• Subscription data: Retained while your account is active and for 90 days after cancellation.
• Payment records: Retained by Stripe per their data retention policies and applicable financial regulations.

8. Your Rights

You may:

• Uninstall the Extension at any time to remove all locally stored data
• Cancel your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal
• Request deletion of your subscription data by contacting us at info@codewarrior4life.com
• Request a copy of any data we hold about you

9. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Browser Store Requirements

This Extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, and Firefox Add-ons. Our data practices comply with the policies of each platform. The Extension requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality (extension management, storage, cache clearing, and native messaging).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
